Infrared Thermal Imaging in Los Angeles
An infrared camera does not see mold or water directly — it sees surface temperature. Evaporating moisture usually makes a material cooler than the surrounding area, so thermal imaging is an efficient way to find spots worth checking with a moisture meter.
Non-invasive scanning
Thermal imaging lets us scan large wall and ceiling areas quickly without opening anything up. It is particularly helpful in occupied homes, apartments, and commercial spaces where cutting into finishes is not practical during an assessment.
Always confirmed with a moisture meter
Any anomaly seen on the camera is verified with moisture measurement before it is described as a moisture issue. Temperature differences can also be caused by insulation gaps, plumbing lines, and framing, and we do not report a thermal image alone as evidence of water damage.
Documenting what we see
Relevant thermal images are captured alongside standard photographs so the report shows both the visible condition and the temperature pattern behind it.
